Could H’El be the clone of Jor-El or a new family member from the house of El?
Or he could be the clone of Kal who grew up hating him, maybe?

EDIT 19/11/12 Ok, it turns out he is just a pupil of Jor-El, so he claims to be. But I was sort of close if you look at it from some weird perspective, he is still connected to Jor-El :D
